Welcome

The Scottish Hellenic Society (SHS) is dedicated to recovering and promoting the heritage of ancient Greece and Scotland. Through interdisciplinary scholarship and public engagement, the Society fosters deeper understanding of ancient Greek philosophy, theology, and culture.

The Society serves as a platform for dialogue between academic and wider communities. Its aim is to revive classical wisdom traditions by cross-cultural approaches, while contributing meaningfully to both scholarly discourse and the continuity of Hellenic intellectual life with its contemporary relevance across various fields of thought.

Everyone is welcome at our in-person or online events, both from the university, alumni, regional and international communities.
